What computer games did everyone play as a kid?

I remember playing a ton of oregon trail in elementary school, i would lie and say i finished my book just so i could go to the library and play oregon trail till the teacher came to get me. She was always pissed :lol::lol:

Dino park tycoon - its kinda like a build your own jurassic park, this game was like crack.

Number munchers - i played the old number munchers (the 2-D one) like it was going out of style, then when the 3-D one came out it was like christmas.

Re: Oldschool Computer Games...

oregon trail was the first computer game i ever played, played it in JR high on old ass apple computers with those huge ass floppy disks that were the size of a piece of paper. second computer game i was shown was at a friends house, wolfenstein 3d, what a classic. then in 95ish i got my first computer, Diablo was my first owned computer game, played that night and day over the always reliable 56k modem.ohh the good ole days!

otehr than that i was a big console kid, so zelda for nes and super nes were probably my favorite as well as the mortal kombat series=q

Re: Oldschool Computer Games...

I think the first games I played were on the TRS-80 around 1980. Probably a version of Space Invaders or Asteroid.

On my cousin's Apple II we played Decathlon.

I played many games on the Atari 2600. I seem to remember Space Invaders, Defender and other shooting games. Between the other kids on the street, we had quite a few.

I had a Colecovision with Ms. Pacman, Donkey Kong and Zaxxon.

My friend down the street had a C64. I remember a 2-player motorcycle game was our favourite, probably because it had wicked music too.

In the arcade: before high school I played Ms. Pacman, Pacman, Galaga, Space Invaders, Frogger, Dig Dug, Centipede. In high school I moved into fighting games, I remember lots of ninja-based games, and a four-player wizards and warlocks type of game. I think it was the first four-player. Can't remember the name. Anybody? Would have been around 1988.
