Re: Spyware Infection question/help meeee

probably not, but your computer is like new afterwards.

Re: Spyware Infection question/help meeee

don't do that.

download this: http://www.sysinternals.com/Files/Autoruns.zip

unzip it and run autoruns.exe. wait for the options menu to become usable, check the "hide signed Microsoft" option or whatever it says, then go to File->Refresh. Save the log file when the options menu becomes usable again, upload it to yousendit, and shoot it to me.

Re: Spyware Infection question/help meeee

I would use spybot and adaware to try and remove it, both are free. Sometimes you find spyware that is really stubborn and you just have to google the symptoms to find a solution.

Re: Spyware Infection question/help meeee

Adaware and spybot won't fix this. It has already removed the spyware.

Its a registry setting to lock down windows, thats all.

Gimme 5....no, make that 15 minutes with one of those sneaky bastards that have such a non-life that they have to get their joy from fucking up other people's stuff by making a virus/worm/whatever and he won't even dare to THINK about doing it again.

Those motherfuckers just don't seem to get that it is equal to damaging my property, be it data, my car, my stereo or something else. I'm totally in for some hacker-bashing.

Re: Spyware Infection question/help meeee

Had the same thing happen last week. Had SpySherriff, adaware and spybot took care of it.

I agree, how fucking miserable must your existence be in order to want to just sit around invent new ways to fuck up what other people work hard for!

I just asked him if he noticed any problems with the computer... he said he was looking at porn and suddenly popup windows and programs started popping up, so he turned it off and ran.
