OK, all of you guys that just bought the Nano, it's time to rush off to buy the $299+ video-capable iPod.

30Gb and 60 Gb versions.

It would be pretty sweet if you could set this thing up like a TiVO, but that's probably unlikely...

I think these multimedia players are more for younger people or someone like a commuter who has an hour or two to spend starring at their device. When I'm using my MP3 player, that means I'm listening to music while doing something else- driving, working out, doing stuff around the house.

I've got one of these. I still only use it for listening to music. Not sure if the video/photo option is something I'll ever use....

i dont know why you would want something like this..the mp3 version is awesome...but video?..... i for one dont download movies or tv shows ..and as mention above, i usually listen to music while doing something else...

People in places like Finland and Japan have been accessing video via their cell phones for quite some time (relatively speaking) so this is naturally the next step in the evolution of electronics in America.

And yes, with H264 you can have nearly full TV resolution video output. And there is a LOT of downloadable footage on it's way to being made avaiable, a lot.
