If you want online gaming without having to use a pc then the xbox is the only way forward. Playstation havent even got close and for me, now that ive played online, i'll need to keep playing online or get bored.

I used to be a severe Playstation head til my mateshowed me Halo 2 on xbox live and since then i havent even looked at my ps2. It doesnt come close on gameplay or graphics.

It does look pretty good though. Makes you laugh when you consider that none of the games on the current xbox push the machine to its limits and allready they are releasing the new version. Thats microsoft for you.

if you like halo2, you really should at least rent socom 3. its amazing. and a lot less ""Arcade-ey"" than halo. PS2 online system works fine, just not enough games.

the one thing that bugs the shit out of me about halo is that you cannot choose to join a game you want unless you have enough freidslist on to make a decent game.

Know what you mean about having to join games with friends or its no fun. I've stopped playing team slayer now cos everyone either quits or commits suicide.

Not wasting my cash on another xbox, moving towards a PSP or PS3. Out of all the consoles I own, we play the xbox the least. Halo has lost the thrill. The fact that you can play Socom2 online without a subscription... :RockOn:

I might get one but not until a while after it comes out. See if maybe the price will drop, hopefully.

As for PS3, you can expect it to be delayed. As of right now, its supposed to come out in Japan sometime in the spring, probably April. Which places the American release sometime in September next year. By that time I think they will be too far behind Xbox to keep pace, and the price will def drop on the xbox by then.

never was a fan of xbox. PS2 was good but then again i dont play much consol games, dont like the controlers.

Im waiting for COD 2 for PC Gaming online. Thats gonna be the shit. I cant get enough of the CoD UO one!

i am not huge into video games but have friends that are so into them that its almost depressing (roommate included, pretty much if hes not at work or sleeping, he's playing video games. one time i was playing games in the living room with him and went to take a piss, and when i came out he was in his room playing something else to "pass the time" it took me to piss. its that bad.) but i will be happy to try the xbox when my neighbor whores out his girlfriend to get one, i'm fairly sure he'd be willing to go that far considering the financial positions he has put himself into in the past just to get a few new games.

to be honest, id be happy if the only games that ever came out were a new gta every year or so. and fifa.
