I'm still on Winamp v2.81. The only reason I've stuck with it for so long is 'cos of the nifty mp3cue plugin which lets me use cueesheets with long sets. :D :what

Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
foobar2000
It takes a bit of time to get it perfect, but I find it handles cue files a lot better than mp3cue.
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
Intervideo WinDVD 7. I prefer this player to winamp because it has decoders like Dolby headphone/Speakers, SRS, DTS and much more. The result is deeper bass and clarity of sound is much clearer, especially with dance music.
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?

iTunes
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
On my Debian i use Xmms, on Windows an old version of Winamp. Still ok for me, Winamp 5.x takes to much Cpu-power.
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
iTunes 5.0.1

How does foobar work with cuesheets? I looked it up before but didn't find anything on that. :?:

Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
winamp. i hate itunes. pos for windows.
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
iTunes isn't that bad ... I like its ability to search. Once you figure out its functions and disable the ones that try to take over organizing your MP3s!
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
itunes for sure~~~

Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
wmp.
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
winamp 5.05
iTunes is sh1t, worst software around for this kind of thing imho
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
Why do you guys detest iTunes? While I don't use it as my default MP3 player, I don't really have many gripes about it.
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
I use the new version of winamp simply becuase i love the mmd skin. ITS HOT!
I got an ipod a few months ago and some of my files seem to have been renamed shit like cpo~ etc. not sure if it was itunes but i never had this problem before?
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
Are your files put into folders which you never created to begin with?
There's a function in iPod which "takes over" your MP3s and organizes them in a way which Apple must think is "idiot-proof," the way everything from Apple is made. Just untick that function and you'll be fine.
But besides that irritating feature, there's nothing wrong with iTunes IMO. In fact I'm trying to get it installed at work because my music is scattered all over the place and it would be nice to have all my music centralized in a database the way iTunes does it.

You can load them up like playlists, treats each point as a separate track and you can edit the tags just like other media files. Just gotta make sure that the cuesheets have the "FILE" bit which mp3cue tends to miss out.
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
That's interesting, thanks for the tip. I remember that was what stopped me from checking out foobar ... and it's lack of skins.
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
I'm not too sure foobar would benefit from skins really. One of it's best features has to be the Colmns UI interface where you can script everyting from display, sorting and colouring, and you can put funky little panels all over the place. I don't have a screenshot of my budget foobar at the moment but you shold check this thread [http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=30988] to see what other people have done with theirs. Does take a bit of tweaking to get it like that, so if you are going for out of the box eye candy you might be better off with something else.
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
Oh I like to keep my Winamp as a window shade at the top of my screen and would like to do the same if I was using another MP3 player. Anyway came across a foo_looks plugin which enables skins and some of them have window shade mode. However, the original foobar look might be better after all.
I also came across a foo_pod plugin which enables foobar to work with iPods, so I might try that for my iPod Shuffle and keep iTunes for my iPod :D
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
Winamp 2.91 with SRS Wow! Sound processing for deeper bass and better surround.
been using this set up for about 5 years. It never crashes, it loads in an instant, easy to use, great controls too.
Hate all that mega shit u get with these new players.
p.s. i dont have beard
Re: What's your favorite MP3 player on the computer?
I've been using Winamp 5.1. This version doesn't suck as much as 5.0. I also use DFX. I think it really makes the tunes sound better. Definitely more noticeable midrange.
