Seeing how well my 40 gigger has been running, I decided to get a 4 gig Mini for my bro as a present..... and man what a sack of shit.... the damn thing isn't more than a month old and it's already broke....

It does everything other than playing the track.... even the display shows that the mini is playing a song but the seconds dont proceed and the song is stuck....

anyone else have this problem ?

ok looks like it could have been a software error of sorts...... I did a factory restore on the ipod and it worked, its working again now (lets hope it stays that way)

Re: Ipod Blues....

the only ipods that I have heard that have constant problems are the mini's. my sister got one, had a ton of problems, and they finally ended up replacing it for her. my best friends girlfriend also had to have her mini replaced.

I have a 20, and love it, and my girlfriend and Mom both have the shuffle which suits them perfectly.

peace, steve

Re: Ipod Blues....

What do you do in Korea? I lived there for a year a long time ago.

man, seems like everyone is having a lot of problems with ipods lately. my brother's just crapped out... froze up completely. ended up getting a new one today. mine just recently got wiped by itunes somehow and now no longer works right with my alpine head unit. they're great when they work, but seem quite unstable, and both the ipod and itunes are buggier than sheit.

Re: Ipod Blues....

word of advice.... anyone having issues with an ipod, research online the specifics to your issue, and follow the breadtrail to any forum where you find it to be a somewhat common issue. You should probably find the way to contact apple (and what to tell them specifically, not lying mind you, but informed and a touch confident) and you shouldnt have to pay anything over maybe shipping, depending on the length of time u have owned the ipod. If its relatively new, there is most likely a pretty good solution, and while they dont advertise it of course, they will take care of the situation. It's one area I would like to see apple improve their customer service in, and they have a lot, there is just a lot of simple fixes mixed in with the real glitches too....

having worked in various facets of support/service, I have to say that people are stupid assholes sometimes. i really hate it when I catch myself doing it on that rare occaision.

Re: Ipod Blues....

Had 3 mini's before I was lucky enough to get one that worked. Try visiting http://www.ipodlounge.com for help and advice. I've chucked the mini in for the nano and am well happy with that....apart from the scratches
