Re: Issue with Chrome

I've done hours of searching... and read many help forums, it's not my firewall, and if it is I don't know how to fix it, I've changed settings on it many times, no change.

Re: Issue with Chrome

open a dos prompt and type in the following without the quotes "ipconfig /flushdns" and see if that helps

Re: Issue with Chrome

no that's a windows command, you'll have to google the Mac equivalent of it.

Most people seem to suggest it's an antivirus firewall that's the problem. For some reason Chrome got on its shitlist.

Re: Issue with Chrome

I use Avast - I think I've tried that btw - removing and adding and restating but will try again and thank you. Kamal I tried typing that in on my terminal and it didn't do anything - or change anything rather

Re: Issue with Chrome

Yes - been really odd because it's not supposed to be that way on a Mac, I haven't had malaware since the mid 2000's, and thought only the elderly were at risk . No more popups, still have to use browsec though to view websites, but strangely they all are working now fine.
