My dad surprised me with one yesterday. I am not so sure how I like it in comparison to my Iriver though.

I was wondering if anyone knew any cool places online to buy a skin/case whatever for it..i looked around and only found the usual ones. I want a fun one or something different at least. Also does anyone have the 'gold' is it yellow or gold:)

I have the Silver Mini. I dropped it last week and must've sounded like a 12 year old girl. Thankfully it took the licking and has kept on ticking.

Have any of guys had problems with your IPOD battery life.? I have the mini and when it is shut off and just sitting there unused the batter power drains. Everytime I go to use my iPOD I have to charge it. The battery also doesn't last very long after it is fully charged when I am using the iPOD. It was bought as a gift for me from my work when I resigned so I don't have the receipt or a warranty on it. :(

I know that people had a problem with the 1st Generation iPods. I've never had a problem with my mini's battery life (except that it doesn't last for a week at a time :evil: )

if it's within a year of getting it, you have a warranty... just take it into the Apple store to get looked at

yea my ipod mini battery last like maybe 4 hours tops and my headphones dont put base out of the left headphone, im going to japan this summer and am a bit pissed that it proably wont last half the flight there, i need to send it in before the warannety is up, but i want it back before i leave, my life is tough, i know....

im lazy, can someone tell me how long it take to get it back from apple when they replace it?

Apple has a rocksolid reputation for service 48 hours or less. I had that happen the time I needed service on a computer ( could be different with an Ipod ).

Had a warranty replacement sent back to me from Iriver under 24 hours once when I had a broken cd player. Shipped overnight or second day I forget from Cali to the midwest!

if you leave the ipod on the cradle when the computer is not on it will drain the battery even though you arent using the ipod. i saw this on a maintouch page about a year ago. they may have fixed this somehow but if not that may be your problem.

i believe it had something to do with the firewire protocol, the problem may be fixed by just using the USB 2.0 cable...
