Help! Satellite Radio in Car Options

Yo. So my wife wants satellite radio in her car. It's nearly 2014, what are our options? We have a 2010 Prius... She doesn't want it on her phone, or bluetooth connection, just in the car, reliable satellite radio. Is Sirius the best/only option?

Any advice would be super.

It helps her decompress after the office on her drive home.

Re: Help! Satellite Radio in Car Options

Did her car come with a SiriusXM radio built-in that you can activate? A lot of newer cars are including them from the factory with a free trial period.

If not, then you would have to install a new head unit. A lot of aftermarket audio companies make head units with SiriusXM built-in. You'll need to get it installed professionally.

Another option is to get one that has an FM transmitter. You can keep your factory head unit and just tune to an unused radio station and the FM transmitter will play over that. Not the best sound quality solution, but it will work.

Are you in Orlando? Go talk to Ultimate Auto on Hwy 50 @ John Young Pkwy. They are one of the top car stereo shops anywhere in the USA. That's who does all of my car audio work. Will be taking my new car to them for a major install in January. ;)
