I have a pair of AKG K240 MKII headphones which come with a set of leather earpads and a set of velour earpads. I can't seem to figure out how to take off the leather earpads and use the velour ones. Does anyone have a similar pair and know how to do this? Do I just pull them off? It seems like there is tension and I don't want to end up breaking something.

Re: How to replace headphone earpads?

It's pretty hard to explain.

But I guess this could help: http://www.fixya.com/support/t9912673-akg_k450_headphone_replace_ear

Let me see... it's kinda wrapped in like a sock, just pull it out with a bit of delicacy.

Ah thanks, the link was helpful. I was able to get the pads off but can't seem to put the new ones on! The edge seems to be too tight.. I guess I need to stretch them out first before they'll fit? I ended up putting the leather ones back on.
