So this new release makes me wanna switch back from Boxee to Xbmc....

Anyone using this yet? I'd be more interested in knowing of all the Video add-ons like Livestreams etc would still be working or should I wait to upgrade?

Re: XBMC - 11.0 Eden

What about it competes with Boxee? I thought it was only for personal media on a has/etc. Of not, I want to get this running on a raspberry pi :-)

I just bought a roku. I have two boxees but wanted to try a roku on the third TV. I have low expectations for it

Re: XBMC - 11.0 Eden

Man I really would love to upgrade to this, but I am afraid I will probably break my current XBMC install and I don't want to do that. I have a shit load of movies / tv shows indexed in it already and I would hate to lose that. Plus the fact that all of my videos play perfectly and subtitles and menus and all work fine I am going to keep things as is until the HD dies and I have to replace it and reinstall.

What about ghost or a full OS backup?

Re: XBMC - 11.0 Eden

^I could actually do that....I guess for now unless I can figure out how to get a SNES and NES emulator working super quickly and easy with the skin I use (which is about the only thing I can't do now without spending a bunch of time configuring it) I am happy and will prob leave it as is until I have to reinstall. Plus I think the Aeon skin > all.

I have about 700MB of 1080p backgrounds I copied from the aeonproject.com website before it went bust if you want them, they look amazing cycling in the background on your tv.

Here are a few:

So the aeon project is no more? Shame just when I am back into xbmc :(

I would love to get my hands on those wallpapers if possible please?

^I think there are a couple of forks on github you have to use now. Let me find them and I'll PM you the links to the rar backgrounds so you can get them...

Re: XBMC - 11.0 Eden

I upgraded my HTPC setup to eden from dharma.

No problems, all the old library is recognised fine.

Can even play blu-rays directly in eden without having to drop out to an external player :)
