After his acclaimed remixes for artists Hoplite and Wesley Dysart, [b]Steamtown Records[/b] hands the engine car over to the multi-instrumentalist and genre-crossing producer [b]Michael Woodruff[/b], marking his debut original on the Atlanta based label.

Michael Woodruff’s single “[b]Class[/b][b]-[/b][b]E[/b]” walks a delicate line between Italo-influenced nu disco and a more spacious house music. With a four-on-the-floor rhythm punctuated by techy arpeggiations, haunting piano melodies, and cosmic embellishments “Class-E” builds a lush sonic space perfect for an early build up or a late night groove-a-thon.

Remixes are provided by [b]Costin 105[/b], [b]Wesley Dysart vs. DJ Notech[/b], and a new addition to the Steamtown roster: [b]The Voice of Saturn[/b] (a new solo project featuring Travis Thatcher of Judi Chicago and Recompas). An eclectic mix of styles is presented, touching upon progressive, deep house, electro, and breakbeat sounds.

Romanian producer [b]Costin 105[/b] blends in a jazzy vocal stab and classic house feel on his 3rd Steamtown appearance. As funky as it is hard-hitting this version creates a minimal garage vibe sure to shake things up at parties around the globe. For the first time [b]Wesley Dysart[/b] and Steamtown’s own [b]DJ Notech[/b] partner to unleash an electro influenced progressive house monster. Dysart’s studio wizardry collides with Notech’s disco & funk sensibility to construct a peak time banger full of giant bass tones, melodic stabs and edgy sound effects. [b]Voice of Saturn[/b] displays amazing sound design and atmospheric depth with his far out interpretation. Dark and dubby rhythmic trickery combined with warm modulated bass flesh out a groove that shifts between slow motion disco and fork-tongued trip-hop.
