[B]Edwin James[/B] has been active on the Dublin electronic scene since 2005, regularly playing live sets under his [B]Corrugated Tunnel[/B] moniker in the city's most prestigious venues, as well as regular sets abroad. He has released singles on [B]Invisible Agent[/B], [B]Ork[/B], [B]JM[/B], [B]seedyR[/B], [B]Dance Electric[/B], [B]Night Vision[/B], [B]Urban Torque[/B], [B]Dirty Works[/B] and [B]Plastica[/B]. He has remixed [B]DK7[/B], [B]Filterwolf[/B], [B]David Duriez[/B], [B]Def Disko[/B] and many more.
In those five years he also released two critically-acclaimed albums on seedyR: [I][B]We Are Electronix[/B][/I] (2006) and [I][B]I Am Corrugated[/B][/I] (2008). His third album [I][B]Minor Obsessions[/B][/I], with guest appearances from [B]Chelonis R Jones[/B], [B]DMIA[/B] and [B]Martin McCann[/B], will be released on Process Recordings in October 2010.
First single from this album is [I][B]Remedy For My Soul[/B][/I]. Initially an instrumental house track, Edwin re-worked it by adding vocals from [B]Antoinette Dunleavy[/B], and turned it into a more mainstream-oriented synth-pop monster. Dublin's [B]Reasonably Shorts[/B] delivered a beautiful video featuring Antoinette and Edwin, filmed in Dublin on a warm spring evening.
The remixes take us to all corners of the club scene. The main remix for the track comes from [B]Rennie Foster[/B], one of most internationally recognized electronic DJ/producers living in Japan. His music is heavily supported by the world's top DJs such as [B]Derrick May[/B], [B]Laurent Garnier[/B] and [B]Danny Tenaglia[/B]. He has released numerous singles and remixes for both house and techno labels such as [B]Rebirth[/B], [B]F-Communications[/B], [B]Synewave[/B], [B]Subject Detroit[/B] and [B]Monoid[/B] and runs two labels of his own, the prolific and current [B]Dirty Works[/B] and the reputable [B]Futago Traxx[/B].
Two further remixes comes from Dublin: [B]Shane Robinson[/B], who debuted on the [B]Composure[/B] label last year and is now a rapidly rising star on the remix circuit, and [B]Jay Riordan[/B], a prolific member of the [B]Dublin Xpress[/B] crew.
The final remix is Edwin's own [B]Club Mix[/B], whilst the package is completed by the instrumental version of the original.
