Nightshade Music recently released Nosmo v Kris B & BRMUDA 'Jostrupine E.P.', showcasing Nosmo & Kris B tech and minimal sounds. Here we have seven excellent remixes, leading with a hard, driving, minimal techno remix of 'Ostrich' from Kabuto & Koji present The Tokes (Get Physical, Supernature). Paul Loraine (420 Recordings) goes even deeper, with a dubby, bass heavy minimal techno mix, and a second more pumped up remix. Craig McWhinney (AUS), who recently had a successful debut on Nightshade with 'Devil May Care', gave us a very dynamic techy remix of 'Jostle', with a huge break, noise beds, and an overall dark crusty sound. Haterboy & Van Hagen (Love Hertz, Germany) capitalized on the original parts of 'Jostle', with a more focused, dancefloor ready remix. Fulcrum (AUS) took 'Porcupine' in a different direction, with a trippy soundscape, deep beats and a progressive techno feel. C.O.U Muzik (UK) went another route with 'Porcupine', with an upbeat live feel to the percussion, and a bit more melodic vibe, while still working in the techy feel of the original. Deep Future (Uruguay) rounds out the release with his mix of 'Ostrich', which starts closer to the original, and expands to a shuffly beat, stabs and dissonant melodies. Nightshade Music's Nosmo v Kris B & Ben Brown- 'La Cocina'(Mazi Dubstrumental) will be appearing on Darren Emerson's upcoming Global Underground Fiord's techno/tech house remix of Nosmo v Kris B 'One for the Road' on Simon & Shakers 'Surfaces Vol. 1' compilation on Armada. Nightshade will be focusing more on the tech house, techno and minimal side of things, with Nightshade Limited encompassing other genres as we move into 2009.
