DD vs Dire Straits- 'Flashing for Money' [Sultan Club Mix]

Sultan deserves the credits for this track.. coming out soon on POSITIVA

[quote]Sultan remixes Dire Straits and Flash Dance

In late December Sultan began doing a fun remix of Dire Straits "Money For Nothing". The main intention of the mix was to have it ready to be played at the Miami Music Conference at his gig at Space playing after Tiesto.

Once he had finished the remix, he realized that "Money for Nothing" was actually in the same key as Deep Dish's Flashdance, and the result was a remix of dire straits mashed with flashdance.

A week later, Sultan sent the remix/mashup over to Sharam from Deep Dish who fell in love with it and played it at every show. Sharam then contacted Sultan and told him how the track had such a great impact on the dancefloor and that he thought it might be a good idea if Sultan were to try to work the Flashdance vocals into the mix.

And so after a month of working the mix and communicating with Sharam to make it perfect, Sultan came up with "Flashing for Money". No further information on the remix/mashup can be given except that you will all be seeing it, hearing it and hopefully getting your hands on it officially very soon.

Tune back in for the latest updates on Flashing For Money!

Re: Deep Dish - Flashing for money

There is a deep dish remix of money for nothing that has been floating around slsk for around 6 months. It's pretty good.

I haven't heard anything about taking flashdance and adding it to MFN. Right no I'd be happy just to never hear flashdance again.

Re: Deep Dish - Flashing for money

Im truely missing those real deep dish productions, those backing to some years ago. :( theyve been chessy for quite some time now.

Re: Deep Dish - Flashing for money

I recently just heard the new track. And it's ok but it's way too drawn out and long. I dig it up till about the 8 minute mark, then I get bored of it. It seems to not really go anywhere after that. It's as if Sultan decided to mash both of these songs together and didn't care for time constraints.

i agree, the track leaves somthing to be desired the whole George DC sucks.

Thought MFN was pretty good - but then I always love Sultan's work, best producer out there at mo.

so apparently you CAN judge a book by its cover, because that cd cover is about as stupid as I have seen. compared to Pole folder.. its laughable

Barely above average in my opinion.

Re: Deep Dish - Flashing for money

I've ousted DD out of my list of dj's I'd ever want to see. They're rock starts, feed them to the emo kids.

i think the track it's ok, better than flashdance anyway, that tune had no end or begining it's a nice comercial track

Re: Deep Dish - Flashing for money

I think they could have make a better version out of this tune. Kinda simple to my ears.
