[B][FONT=Arial][B]Continuing in the series of “never before remixed and re-released” tunes, Champion Records turn their attention to the classic jazz-infused “Land Of The Living” from Kristine W – made famous by the fantastic reworking by [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=151"]Deep Dish[/url] back in 1996.[/B][/FONT][/B]
[FONT=Arial]First up is legendary [/FONT][B][B][FONT=Arial]Kevin Saunderson[/FONT][/B][/B][FONT=Arial], the man behind the out-and-out pop-dance of [/FONT][B][B][FONT=Arial]Inner City[/FONT][/B][/B][B][FONT=Arial],[/FONT][/B][FONT=Arial] to the underground depths of Detroit techno-anthems such as [/FONT][B][B][FONT=Arial]Triangle Of Love[/FONT][/B][/B][FONT=Arial], alongside [/FONT][B][B][FONT=Arial]Juan Atkins[/FONT][/B][/B][FONT=Arial]. Kevin’s reworking of Land Of The Living focuses around some driving kicks, pulsing synths and a deep electronic bassline, whilst vocal-stabs and ad-libs soar over the top to great effect.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial]Going head-to-head is someone that’s no stranger to remixing classics. [/FONT][B][B][FONT=Arial]Timothy Allan[/FONT][/B][/B][FONT=Arial] has recently remixed [/FONT][B][B][FONT=Arial]The Shrink[/FONT][/B][FONT=Arial]’s “[B]Nervous Breakdown[/B]”[/FONT][/B][FONT=Arial], as well as working with [/FONT][B][B][FONT=Arial]Kirsty Hawkshaw[/FONT][/B][/B][FONT=Arial] and [/FONT][B][B][FONT=Arial]Loverush UK[/FONT][/B][/B][FONT=Arial], not forgetting [/FONT][B][FONT=Arial]“[B]Be My Baby[/B]”[/FONT][/B][FONT=Arial] by [/FONT][B][B][FONT=Arial]Haggstrom[/FONT][/B][/B][FONT=Arial]. Tim takes things down a much more progressive big-room house route, retaining a fully intact vocal (although a dub is also included), sounding more like what [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1395"]Faithless[/URL] would be doing in 2011. This is a huge remix not to be missed![/FONT]
[FONT=Arial]Also included in the bundle is the previously unreleased full length [/FONT][B][B][FONT=Arial]Deep Dish[/FONT][/B][/B][FONT=Arial] “[I]Land Of The Lost Vocal[/I]” mix – which is a journey indeed, weighing in at over 13 minutes long. It’s a true summer anthem, in every sense of the word![/FONT]
